Labor Day weekend is upon us and we are all looking forward to the last big holiday of the summer season. However, as with many holidays, the meaning is lost amid the long weekends, celebrations, family gatherings, etc. Labor Day was created by the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. I had a chance to talk with Mark Spadafore, President, Greater Syracuse Labor Council, AFL-CIO about the state of labor matters both nationally and locally.
