Young Thug Released From Jail

Young Thug is home.

The "Anybody" rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams, was released from DeKalb County Jail in Georgia on Wednesday (November 14), one week after he was arrested for failing a drug test while out on bond.

Before his release, Thug apologized to the court. "I’m sorry for disobeying the court. I’m sorry for disobeying my PO [parole officer] and being here again," Thugger told the judge, per a local report from 11Alive News. "I just want to be home with my family and do right."

"These last six days [in jail] I came back down to reality. I understood this is real life," he continued. "I got sons that's 10, 11 years old. They look up to me. I don’t want them to think that going to jail—even if you're able t get right out of jail—is cool. I just want to grow, cause I've honestly grown. I’ve just made mistakes and I’ve been penalized for them. I’m sorry, and won’t disobey again."

The terms of Thug's release state that he must submit to a random drug test at least twice a week, keep in contact with his PO, and receive substance abuse counseling.

Thugger was taken into custody last week, after failing a drug test while out on bond for his on-going felony drug case.

As fans know, Thug was charged with several felonies stemming from his 2017 arrest two months ago.

In September 2017, authorities allegedly found YT and two other men in a car with drugs and nearly $50,000 in cash, Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported at the time. According to the police report, cops pulled over a 2016 Mercedes Benz Maybach after suspecting that its tint was too dark. They then searched the vehicle and YT and another passenger were arrested. He was charged for possession and intent to distribute hydrocodone, meth, and marijuana, and he was hit with two counts of codeine possession, Xanax, amphetamine. Thug also reportedly had an illegal firearm on him.
