Instant besties! Michelle Obama and Meghan Markle have finally met.

The former first lady and Duchess of Sussex met for the first time Monday (December 3) night after Meghan attended the London stop of Michelle's Becoming book tour at the Southbank Centre.

"They spoke at length about the importance of supporting and empowering women across all cultures and communities," a source told the Evening Standard. "They also talked about shared experiences of pregnancy and raising children, plus shared causes including girls’ education." The insider also said the royal mom-to-be and Mrs. Obama hit it off so well —forming a strong bond during their chat — that they're "expected to stay in close contact."

The Duchess' meeting with the former first lady came after Michelle recently offered Meghan her biggest piece of advice on how to deal with such a high-profile job, in the latest issue of Good Housekeeping"Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt that she’d have a life like this, and the pressure you feel — from yourself and from others — can sometimes feel like a lot," the Becoming author told the magazine. "So my biggest piece of advice would be to take some time and don’t be in a hurry to do anything."

For those who don't know the Obamas and Royals have quite the friendly history. Prince Harry and Former President Barack Obama have long been accused of having the bromance of the century. Harry once hosted Michelle and former first daughters, Malia and Sasha  — along with their grandmother Marian Robinson — for tea at Kensington Palace back in June 2015. And who could forget the time that Prince George stayed up late to meet Barack in his mini and oh-so-chic bathrobe?
