The venue for Woodstock 50 has been announced, and it's coming to Central New York! The festival will be held at Watkins Glenn, only 80 miles outside of Syracuse. It will start the 17th of august and end the 19th. The line up hasn't been released yet but Santana has already said he is planning on performing, which is absolutely incredible! Santana performed at the first Woodstock, it's only appropriate to feature him in the 50th anniversary.
Nearly half a million people attended the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival in Bethel NY. Some people are criticizing the festival for including modern acts and genres like rap, hip hop and pop, but those people may have forgotten that the performers in Woodstock 69 were also ridiculed by the older generations- perhaps honoring the legacy of Woodstock means including young new talent.
