How to Stream George Floyd's Houston Memorial Service

Following the memorial service in Minneapolis on Thursday (June 4), the life of George Floyd will continue to be honored with two more services, one on June 6 in Raeford, North Carolina, and again on Monday, June 8 in Houston Texas.

Floyd had grown up in Houston, and the public memorial service, which is being arranged by the Fort Bend Memorial Planning Center, will take place from 12pm to 6pm local time at The Fountain Church (13950 Hillcroft Ave) on June 8. According to USA Today, the memorial planning center's Bobby Swearington said that they are currently working on a way to livestream the service on their official Facebook page and website.

A private Celebration of Live service will then take place on Tuesday, June 9th.

Floyd's second memorial service will take place in Raeford, North Carolina where the public viewing will be held from 11am to 1pm ET with the service beginning at 3pm ET on June 6. George was born in North Carolina at Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters.

The first memorial service for the late 46-year-old took place on Thursday, June 4 at North Central University in Minneapolis and featured a eulogy from Reverend Al Sharpton, as well as George Floyd's family members. The service was attended by several celebrities, including Kevin Hart, T.I., Tiffany Haddish, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey also were in attendance, as well as Rev. Jesse Jackson and Martin Luther King III.

George Floyd was killed by police officer Derek Chauvin, who had kneeled on Floyd's neck for over eight minutes.
