Disagree Shouldn't Mean Disrespect

When we disagree with politicians, celebrities, or any person in general, that does not give us license to disrespect them. When you show disrespect to someone, you lower yourself to their level. Not a good look. The latest example of that is the image of Kathy Griffin holding the severed head of President Trump. If someone had done this with President Obama, we would all be up in arms. I'm glad to see that not only conservatives and republicans were the only ones totally offended by this image. We owe respect to the office of the presidency, even if we strongly disagree with whomever is in the office. Charlemagne sums it up perfectly with his donkey of the day.
