As I was sitting at work on Saturday afternoon, I got a chance to see some of the speeches by the survivors of the Parkland, Florida massacre. They were all thoughtful, well spoken, passionate, and mature beyond their years as spoke about the need for change. I was also impressed by the fact that the march was not just relegated to talking about school shootings, but senseless shootings in general. However, I was most impressed with speech given by 11 year old Naomi Wadler. This young woman is mature beyond her years and as I heard her speak, I felt a little embarrassed because I thought about all the things I did or thoughts that consumed my time when I was 11. I am so proud of all the speakers, organizers, and supporters of the March for Our Lives. I feel confident that this is a movement and not just a footnote in time. As adults, let us all give our full support to these future leaders.
