George Clinton To Retire From Touring

The first time I became aware of George Clinton is when my sister bought the first Funkadelic album (self titled). I couldn't understand the music at that young age because I was still into the Jackson 5 and other pop soul music. However, as my teenage years years approached, my musical tastes began to grow and I began to listen to other types of music. Funkadelic and Parliament were thrown into the mix, and I was hooked on P-Funk. I had the privilege of seeing Parliament-Funkadelic several times and the shows were always a trip (for one reason or another). I just found out the mastermind behind Parliament-Funkadelic and the P-Funk sound is now going to retire from touring. I guess at age 77 you deserve to slow down at some point. I will always remember those marathon concerts and always thank George Clinton for endless hours of music that I, and so many other people, enjoyed. Here's what George thinks about his upcoming retirement.
