Jay-Z has taken a step back from being a music mogul and rapper to produce a documentary that I believe everyone should take the time to see. It's been 6 years since Trayvon Martin was killed by George Zimmerman. I am thankful that his memory has been kept alive and that he is at the forefront of the Black Lives Matter movement as a martyr. We must all be reminded of the the sacrifice Trayvon made to bring attention to the dangers that young black men and boys face on a daily basis in our country. Jay-Z really stepped up to produce this 10 part documentary that will premiere on July 30th on the Paramount Network. The documentary will feature interviews with Trayvon Martin’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin; Martin family lawyer Benjamin Crump, Angela Rye, Reverend Al Sharpton, Angela Davis, and Carmelo Anthony, among others. Here's the official trailer.
