Even before Aretha Franklin's death, there had been rumors that Jennifer Hudson would portray Aretha in a biopic. Aretha personally approved of the choice of Jennifer Hudson to play her. Well now, it's official! J Hud will be playing the Queen of Soul. No one can come close to singing with the depth and feeling of Aretha, but I'm sure that J Hud will do a great job.
