The Game Debuts Kobe Bryant Face Tattoo

The Game will carry Kobe Bryant's legacy with him forever.

On Tuesday (February 12), the "The Light" rapper unveiled his latest tribute to the late, great NBA icon on Instagram — a new face tattoo in his honor. "♾ F O R E V E R," Game captioned a series of photos of his new ink, which is a sideways 8 and Kobe's autograph above his right eyebrow that symbolizes "Kobe Forever."

As fans know, the Compton native is still grappling with the sudden loss of Kobe, who passed away, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other passengers, in a tragic helicopter crash on January 26.

Game shared his heartbreak following news of Kobe's death, writing on Instagram, "I’m heartbroken..... hurt. This is truly a sad day for Los Angeles, the game of basketball & the entire world. My heart is with Vanessa, those beautiful baby girls & the immediate family." He added, "Kobe, man..... thank you for everything over the years, especially the advice, short talks with my boys & all that you’ve contributed. I love you brother, you & GiGi rest well together #MambaMentalityForever 🐐."

Game joins a number of celebrities who have paid tribute to Kobe by putting permanent art on their bodies. NBA superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis each got Kobe-inspired tattoos. Shaquille O'Neal's son, Shareef, also paid tribute to Kobe and Gianna by getting new ink in their honor.
