DDG vents about the co-parenting issues he's experienced in his new diss track aimed at his ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey.
On Saturday, March 8, DDG uploaded a fresh track to his YouTube called "Don't Take My Son." The YouTuber-turned-rapper began by telling the mother of his child not to take his son Halo.
"Don't take my son cuz he is all I got," he raps. "I'm just having fun/I don't love these thoughts/You tell me that you going to move on but I know you not/Trying to make me pay to see my son, that's going to make me hot, that's going to make me pissed, going to make me sick."
"It's not about the money, it's more bout the principal you know I'm rich," he continues. "Cuz he only a baby and he getting big, I don't wanna miss nothing."
DDG released the song a day after he claimed Halle Bailey wouldn't let him see baby Halo. In a vlog he uploaded Friday, he explained the difficulties he experienced while co-parenting with Bailey since they broke up last year. He accused Bailey of treating him like a "secondary parent" and claimed he only gets a limited amount of time with his first-born child.
"It’s getting to a point where I feel like I’m honestly getting bullied when it comes to me just wanting to just be a dad," he said. "I just want to be able to see my son when I want to see my son, take my son when I want to take my son. I don’t care who she’s talking to, who she’s with, who she’s filming movies with. I just care about my son. She knows this makes me frustrated. She knows this is the only way to get under my skin.”
The "Pink Dreads" rapper also spoke about the time when Halle Bailey got upset that he brought baby Halo to Kai Cenat's livestream without her consent. At the time, she said she had no idea Halo would be on the livestream in front of millions of fans. However, she later apologized and thanked Cenat for the gifts he gave Halo.
