Byblos Mediterranean Cafe in Syracuse is set to make its second appearance on the popular Food Network show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" this Friday (July 18). Hosted by Guy Fieri, the episode titled "Around the World and Off-The-Hook" will showcase the family-run Lebanese restaurant's authentic flavors, including fresh hummus, crispy falafel, and shawarma.
Located on North Clinton Street, Byblos first appeared on the show in 2012, just two years after opening its doors. The restaurant's name is inspired by the ancient city of Byblos in Lebanon, known as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. This connection to history is reflected in the timeless Mediterranean dishes served at the cafe.
According to Syracuse.com, this will be the third time Guy Fieri has visited Central New York recently, with previous stops at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub and Eva's European Sweets. Fans of Byblos and its flavorful offerings can look forward to seeing familiar faces and dishes on the screen.
For those interested in catching the episode, it will air at 9 p.m. on the Food Network.
