Three Concerts Scheduled Today at New York State Fair

Visitors to the New York State Fair in Syracuse can enjoy a diverse lineup of musical performances today (August 26). The concerts feature music from the 1960s, 1990s, and 2000s, providing entertainment for a wide range of musical tastes.

The day kicks off with Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone at 1 p.m. at Chevy Court. The band, known for hits like "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter" and "I'm Into Something Good," returns for their fifteenth consecutive year at the fair. Later in the day, at 6 p.m., Sister Hazel takes the same stage. The band gained fame in the 1990s with their platinum album "Somewhere More Familiar," featuring the hit "All for You."

The evening concludes with a performance by Lil Jon at 8 p.m. at Suburban Park. The rapper and producer, known for his role in the crunk hip-hop movement, will entertain fans with hits like "Get Low" and "Snap Yo Fingers." Julie LaFave, Fair Director, expressed excitement about hosting Lil Jon, highlighting hip-hop as a major draw for the fair.

All concerts are included with the fair's $8 admission fee, and entry is free for seniors 65 and older and children 12 and under. The fair runs through Labor Day, offering a wide array of entertainment and attractions.
