The Armstrong School of Dance from Lansing is set to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday (November 27). This marks another appearance for the dance team, which has been invited to the parade every three years since 2008.

The dancers, led by owner and director Karen Gorsky, are excited to showcase their talents on a national stage. "It's just a great opportunity for the dancers to fulfill their dreams of being with 600 other dancers on a bigger stage for NBC Studios," Gorsky said. The seniors on the team, including Clare Sanford, have shared their experiences and advice with younger dancers who have not yet participated in the parade. "We grew up watching the dancers here perform in the parade," Sanford said. "It's always been something we've looked forward to."

The Armstrong School of Dance was first scouted in New York City in 2008, and since then, they have consistently impressed audiences with their performances. The parade offers the dancers a chance to demonstrate their hard work and dedication to a broad audience.

As the team prepares for their performance, they look forward to the excitement and energy of the parade, which is a cherished tradition for many Americans.
